The COVID-19 – Corona virus – outbreak has created critical shortages of essential materials on a global scale. The most critical being the face masks which are required by professionals and public to slow the spread of the virus and all its mutations…
Nedshield alongside the Infectious Desease Prevention experts at the Catharina Hospital in TheNetherlands, tested more than 100 different FFP2 and FFP3 masks. Result: less than 5 passed the most basic efficacy requirements to protect the wearer and to maintain the quality levels for mass production.
To provide a sustainable solution, Nedshield turned to JedX Finland to manufacture a line of FFP2 and FFP3 masks that would not only rival but actually improve on the market leaders products. JedX face masks are now the market leader in Finland (all 84 hospitals in Finland use JedX along with the olympic and national teams) and substantial stocks have been procured by the Dutch Ministry of Health. Together with JedX and through Nedtechcorp BV, a new product line has been created for the Military, where there has been no compromise made between breathabilty, fit, comfort or protection levels – in excess of 98,5 % for FFP2 and 99,5% for FFP3.
