Nedshield’s powerful 3D geospatial software supports mission/camp planners, designers, operators and procurement departments in speeding up processes and reducing costs. The Nedshield solution suite provides the Military with new strategic, operational and tactical insights to aid decision making in all phases of the infrastructure deployment life-cycle.
The Virtual Base 4.0 application helps to rapidly solve issues surrounding camp design, protection, logistics and costing for all sizes of camps in all theaters.
Camp management and operations can be optimized in mission through the use of the integrated Camp Resource Management System (CRMS) for energy, water and waste.
Using the DIALdb platform, finger-tip access to asset design and operational information as well as 3D visualizations can be provided. DIALdb also allows for efficient data collection and enhanced asset visibility.
The Nedshield Drone Detection and Mitigation Solution (DDMS) has been developed from Nedshield’s work in the military Forward Operating Base (FOB) protection area. DDMS has been adapted and developed for the industrial and civilian sectors to adress the rapidly increasing (real and percieved) threat of drone attack, industrial espionage and privacy invasion. DDMS comprises: Drone Threat Analysis Consulting (independant unit), Detection System and Counter-Measures System (mitigation) and the Common Operating Picture (COP) / control system software.
Nedshield’s 3D software applications and platforms (server/web and mobile) allow for new data and insights to be created and accessed for decision support. Where problems are unstructured, under-specified and the situation dynamic, situational awareness and the application of cognitive intellegce is critical. Potential strategic and tactical solutions require multiple models, mixtures of anytical techniques and various data access and retrieval functions. These then have to be used and updated in real-time by all levels of users and from their respective perspectives and still create an accurate and reliable common understanding. Nedshield has developed an integrated geo-spatial solution comprising 2D and 3D mobile (android) data receivers, sensor feeds and a global tiling system with open map layers which can be accessed by its Common Operating Picture (COP) system. Two variants have been developed (2D-3D), for military as well as industrial/commercial use.
Counter-Wildlife Trafficking (CWT)
In support of the brave ongoing counter-wildlife trafficking activities in Mali and Central African Republic (CAR), Nedshield developed a number of mobile (android) tracking apps for the anti-poaching units. With customizeable taxonomies and encrypted data collection, these apps are aimed at improving and systemizing field evidence collection (video/photo/sound) and providing accurate tracking and mapping information (2D & 3D) to the field operatives – even off-net. The new Astus System will be released in June 2020 and be available to parks, conservation groups.
